Exploiting brokerage services

What is the minimum number of transactions in buying stocks? Some brokerage firms require you to buy stock at a certain minimum amount. If you want to buy below the minimum amount, the broker will not execute your order transaction.

Therefore, to facilitate the purchase transaction with a minimal amount, the JSE introduced a certain minimum number called lots. One lot equals 500 shares. Especially for banking stocks, one lot equals 100 shares. So you can count yourself, if you seek shares worth USD 2000 for example, then it means you have to transact at least Rp 10 million. If the shares were banking stocks, the transaction minimum Rp 2 million.

Once again, not all brokerage firms require you to purchase a minimum amount of one lot. There is also a given exception, can be purchased under that amount. This is known as odd lots.

You can buy stocks in coming to a brokerage firm. These companies are called "securities dealer brokerage firm". In the yellow pages book Telephone Directory (yellow pages), you can find companies like this in the broker said. There are many brokers who were members of the Jakarta Stock Exchange today. So make sure you select a broker as possible.

What should you do if you want to buy stocks? Usually is to open an account at the brokerage firm and put a certain amount of money worth. The money was later to be used by your broker to trade stocks. So it's not used to buy new shares your love of money later.
